November is a month that fills the senses: crunchy, dry leaves, sweet spiced cider, gorgeous blue sky days, frosty mornings, turkey roasting and pumpkin pie baking. No other month has so many pleasant memories! I have spent this month on a road to rediscover the joy and pleasure in the small things. I have been counting grace moments. I have remembered my father, the WWII Navy vet, and my eclectic grandmother who taught me to paint. I have stopped to notice blue skies, orange leaves, and steaming mugs of coffee. I have laughed at the ducks on our lake, visited an apple festival, and taken long walks in the cool air. I encourage you all to spend a few minutes every day looking for those grace moments, looking for the things that really matter, and giving thanks with a grateful heart.
